The role requires a person with technical expertise, consulting experience, strong cooperative spirit, and business development aptitude/experience. Stress Engineering Services is focused on leveraging our diverse team of engineers from various disciplines with a fundamental understanding of materials, testing, and modeling to develop critical solutions for our clients. Accordingly, you will work closely with materials scientists/engineers, chemists, and other design, testing, and analysis engineers to deliver the best value to our clients. The successful candidate is expected to have a thorough understanding of structure-property-processing relationships in polymeric materials. Our polymer laboratory located in Mason, OH is equipped to fully characterize polymers, composites, and elastomers, in addition to performing exposure-based testing including a combination of sustained and variable stress/strain in contact with operating fluid, high pressure/high temperature (HPHT) aging in corrosive media, sterilization, physical aging, ultraviolet weathering, and simulated life cycle testing. This person will also be passionate about business development, playing a key role in expanding our services within the industries that we currently serve as well as identifying new business opportunities.   This position requires working on-site in our Mason, OH office. Some amount of travel (< 20%) is expected to meet with clients, attending tradeshows/conferences, etc.
