Responsibilities

Responsible for designing and analyzing various systems and components using fundamental techniques, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), fluid mechanics, heat transfer, multi-body dynamics, multiphysics analysis, tolerance stack-up analysis, etc. Provide actionable recommendations, guidance, and provide quality assurance checks by verifying design and analysis work performed by other team members. Apply specialized skills in the use of commercial FEA tools such as Abaqus, ANSYS, etc. for analysis and design in a broad range of medical, pharmaceutical and consumer applications. Develop tools to automate modeling, analysis, and post-processing of finite element models using various scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, etc. to improve efficiency and accuracy. Use of programming languages such as FORTRAN or C for finite element solver subroutine development. Perform sensitivity analysis and uncertainty quantification and propagation for computational models. Perform constitutive modeling of variety of materials such as plastics/polymers and biological tissues. Use highperformance computing (HPC) and cloud computing platforms for engineering simulations in Windows and Linux environments. Support project managers to meet project goals and deliverables. Write technical reports documenting analyses performed and actionable recommendations to clients. Communicate results to clients through teleconference or in person meetings. Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and technical reports as well as assisting with internal R&D initiatives as needed. Understand client needs, develop solution roadmap, and provide solutions using analysis and testing skills. Stay informed regarding new technologies to maintain proficiency, publish technical articles and papers, and attend conferences and industry events. Salary $123,843.00.
