• Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing maintenance of various deepwater offshore floating and fixed drilling, completion, and production structures and facilities
using various civil engineering codes, standards, and methodologies.
• Design and analyze various systems and components using fundamental techniques, FEA, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, etc.
• Compute load requirements and material stress factors to determine compliance with design specifications.
• Develop tools that automate tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support Project Managers to meet project goals and deliverables.
• Support the design and execution of full-scale testing projects.
• Stay informed regarding new technologies and improvements in industry to maintain proficiency.
• Participate in project reviews internally and externally.
• Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and technical reports.
• Preparation and oversight of drawings, procedures, manuals, etc. as required.
• Assist with internal R&D initiatives as needed.
• Contribute to the growth of the Company through participation in technical associations and presentation of conference papers/presentations.
• Adherence to internal quality management system policies and procedures.
• Provide technical advice to industrial personnel regarding design modifications and structural repairs.
• Analyze survey reports, drawings, inspection reports, and other structural data.
• 10% or less of domestic travel to various worksites.
• Must have a Master’s degree in Engineering Mechanics, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Must have one (1) year of experience as a Civil Engineer, Associate Engineer, or related position requiring knowledge and practice related to hydraulic fracturing and associated field services.
• The one (1) year of experience must include working computational modeling and simulation, mathematics, statistics, physics, and algorithm development in a civil engineering setting; hydraulic fracturing and frac spreads; developing documentation, drawings, and specifications for manufactured goods; developing technologies in the area of fluid mechanics; project management and interacting with clients and vendors; and mentoring and training team members.
