Overview

The Digital Solutions Group (DSG) is seeking a motivated and innovative intern to join our team for Summer 2025. As a DSG Intern, you will collaborate with engineers, data analysts, and software developers to support the development of cutting-edge tools and solutions. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about data, software development, and creating impactful solutions.

 

This is an in-office postion located in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing software and scripts to support automated simulations and data analytics.
  • Collaborate with team members to design scalable and efficient software solutions.
  • Participate in algorithm design and testing processes to meet client needs.
  • Create and maintain unit tests and automated testing processes for software, including UI and backend functionality.
  • Support the integration of software with Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines to ensure reliable continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to address evolving project needs.
  • Prepare and present reports on analysis, algorithm development, and findings.
  • Document processes and create user manuals or training materials as needed.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot existing systems to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Programming Skills: Proficient in Python, Java, C++, or other relevant programming languages. Experience with frameworks such as React, PyTorch, or PyQT is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Git, Docker, Bash, VS Code, and data structures. Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines is advantageous.
  • Analytical Abilities: Demonstrated experience with algorithm design and optimization, as well as data analysis.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and seek innovative solutions.

Preferred:

  • Experience with convolutional neural networks, generative models, or image recognition systems.
  • Interest in software architecture and scalable system design.
  • Familiarity with developing user interfaces or integrating wireless communication systems.
