We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst, FP&A, to join our dynamic finance team. This is a key role within the organization, providing critical insights into financial performance, forecasting, and modeling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. 

 

This position is onsite. 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support cash flow analysis, budget planning, and five-year forecasting.
  • Budget & Forecast Preparation: Lead the annual budget process, working closely with department heads and senior leadership to establish revenue and expense forecasts. Regularly update forecasts and track performance against plan.
  • Time-Billing Analysis: Leverage your knowledge of industries that bill for time (such as engineering, law, or consulting) to create accurate and actionable financial models that reflect billing cycles, utilization rates, and service delivery.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide clear, concise, and actionable financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and business trends.
  • Valuation & Analysis: Perform financial valuations, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis to inform business decisions and support strategic initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting workflows.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with departments to understand business performance, anticipate future financial needs, and develop strategic financial plans.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Proven experience working in industries that bill for time (engineering, law, or employment consulting firms).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas, and data visualization.
  • Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail and the ability to synthesize complex financial data.
  • Experience in industries that bill for time, such as engineering, law, or employment consulting, is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with cash flow modeling and scenario-based financial forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • CFA, MBA, or other advanced finance certifications are a plus.

Special physical requirements for this job include:

  • Ability to climb and ascend at least one flight of stairs multiple times per day.
  • Occasional need to lift up to 15 pounds.
