We are seeking an entry-level Test engineer for our rapidly growing Testing Practice. The practice provides day-to-day activities that can include designing tests for projects, interacting with clients, general instrumentation in a mixed sensor/transducer environment, fixture development, data collection and analysis, report writing, interacting with and directing technical staff, and/or collaborating with other engineering disciplines.

Qualified applicants will be able to work both independently and in teams to define testing needs and approaches, develop specific test plans, execute test procedures, collect and process data and write reports discussing all aspects of the testing efforts. Additionally, the Test Engineer must be able to work closely with the technical staff to produce meaningful and technically correct test data and reports while overseeing the financial costs of the project. Testing includes export controlled and security sensitive projects. BS in engineering required, individuals will be strongly encouraged to get their MS along with PE license.
The engineer must be able to work safely and effectively in a technical environment where a variety of tools may be used simultaneously, i.e.: strain gages, pressure transducers, accelerometers, force and displacement transducers. The engineer will manage and perform data collection and signal conditioning using both Stress Engineering proprietary systems as well as other commercially available systems. Time domain and frequency domain data analysis methods are used as needed to reduce and analyze test results.
This role includes work in our Test Labs in Northwest Houston and Waller, Texas.
