Stress Engineering is currently seeking an Intern to support the SES Electrical team which:

  • Designs and develops embedded systems for medical, consumer, and industrial applications
  • Creates custom test fixtures and pilot scale equipment
  • Performs failure analysis and 3rd party review of existing products

Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineering Intern will interact directly with project managers to assist with planning and completion of project/client work as assigned. In addition, the electrical engineering group is currently developing a number of IoT/wireless applications. He or she will support the electrical engineering team in development, programming and testing of these applications.

A successful candidate will be focused on producing quality work that has been reviewed and validated for accuracy before sharing results with others. It is also necessary for the candidate to be able to work independently, while being able to identify where and when more experienced guidance is needed. The position requires a person with a strong cooperative spirit and ability and willingness to participate in small teams.

Qualifications

  • Working toward a BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Hands on laboratory testing experience
  • Strong Programming skills: C/C++
  • Embedded System Design
  • Sensor Interfacing
  • Knowledge of CAD software
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work in USA for any employer without restriction, sponsorship, or need for future sponsorship
