  • Overview

    Stress Engineering Services, a rapidly growing engineering consulting firm with offices in Houston, Cincinnati, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Calgary, is looking for a fluid dynamics engineer to join its Cincinnati staff.  The position involves broad application of fluid dynamics analysis and experimental skills, including use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, classical analytical methods, development of special-purpose tests, and development of custom software for our clients.  This position will involve substantial communication with engineers within SES and with clients.  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this position.



    • Provide CFD support on projects
    • Keep abreast with developments in CFD software, share knowledge on CFD sofrware enhancements
    • Participate in the development and continued improvement of CFD capabilities in the Cincinnati office
    • Work with clients to assess their objectives, develop project proposals based on client requests and discussions, perform CFD analysis for a wide array of applications and industries, recommend design improvements, document analysis findings in reports and make presentations to clients
    • Contribute to other modeling studies (such as dynamic simulations, flow assurance…) as required
    • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary consultancy team
    • Be responsible for the content, quality, delivery and innovation of the work undertaken
    • Keep abreast with industry developments, share knowledge, and contribute to new developments in this area
    • Ensure that all deliverables are in accordance with the industry's standards and Stress’ own internal standards, quality processes and requirements



    • M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering plus 2 – 5 years of industrial experience required 

    • Experience with commercial CFD software
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Registered professional engineer (P.E.) or possess the ability to become registered required

    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S for any employer without sponsorship
