    Stress Engineering Services, Inc. is the premier provider of engineered solutions and professional engineering consulting services across all engineering disciplines serving clients since 1972. Approximately 80% of current Stress Engineering Services business is repeat or direct referral. We take on some of industries most difficult problems utilizing approximately 360 employees, including 215 engineers and have some of the largest testing facilities in the industry.


    • Review, approve, and process purchase orders and project contracts
    • Communicate internally with all levels of employees and externally with clients regarding purchase orders and project contracts
    • Conduct initial review and comparison of a variety of types of contracts including but not limited to master service agreements, project contracts, subcontracts, vendor contracts, etc.
    • Conduct online legal research using LexisNexis
    • Scan, organize, and maintain the contract files and legal databases electronically
    • Obtain approval of annual rate schedules and term amendments for master service agreements
    • Monitor progress of open items within the legal department and follow up as needed to insure timely completion


    • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a legal professional; preferably in engineering and construction, or contracts
    • Proficient working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and “track changes” required
    • Experience conducting legal research required; preferably using LexisNexis
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written required
    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required
    • Ability to effectively work on multiple, simultaneous assignments, meeting priorities and deadlines for each required
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a service attitude and ability to work within a team required
    • Self starter; willing and able to take initiative as needed required
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
    • Proficient working knowledge and experience using Microsoft SharePoint preferred
