    Stress Engineering Services Inc. is the premier provider of engineered solutions and professional engineering consulting services across all engineering disciplines serving clients since 1972. Approximately 80% of current Stress Engineering Services business is repeat or direct referral. We take on some of industries most difficult problems utilizing approximately 360 employees, including 215 engineers and have some of the largest testing facilities in the industry. We are seeking a Business Development Manager for Plant Services for our Mason, OH office.

    Responsibilities

    The role of the Business Development Manager is to position the company within strategic refining, chemical, and power generation customers to deliver value-driven alternatives for failure analysis, fitness for service, remaining life analysis, and testing by performing needs assessment presentations to uncover opportunities congruent with the company’s capabilities.

    • Calling on Refining, Chemical, and Power generation customers
    • Develop new and maintain existing relationships
    • Seek customers in company target markets through research and direct contact with potential customers
    • Generate project/business opportunities and RFPs through customer contact to meet company’s business plans and growth strategies
    • Prioritizing and managing account base
    • Developing rapport and establishing strategic relationships
    • Making powerful presentations to management teams and identifying opportunities
    • Facilitating the proposal process and answering objectives
    • Formulating and executing strategy to close new business in a complex decision making environment
    • Balancing opportunity development and opportunity closure activities
    • Taking Ownership and Leadership for their account base
    • Weekly, timely reporting to the organization on the state of the region
    • Ongoing personal development to enhance sales techniques
    • Other duties as assigned by your manager

     

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic/Complex Selling
    • Formal Strategic Sales Training
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Formal Presentation skills
    • Strong organizational and Leadership Skills
    • High Degree of self-confidence, passion, initiative, and commitment to customer service
    • Proficient in all MS Office products
    • Engineering Background
    • Willing to travel up to 60% of the time
